The goal for this booklet was to create some engaging visual collateral to convince tourists to visit one of the park squares in Savannah. Madison Square, rich with history and beauty, inspired the illustrations and type used throughout. As part of the process, I conducted some research on the history of the square, took photographs of the area, and used Adobe InDesign to position and place the type around those photographs. I sketched and scanned each of the illustrated buildings that make up the cover and interior pieces of the booklet. For the final prototype, I printed the booklet on a heavy Sappi paper and bound it with saddle-stitch binding. Overall, this piece speaks to my visual design aesthetic and displays my ability in placing type and image to enhance the composition. The design for each spread is posted below.
